David Conley

My name is David Conley.  I am a Web Design/Development student currently attending St. Clair County Community College.  I am also presently involved with a college internship with Prompt Internet Solutions® LLC. located in the City of Port Huron.

One of the concentrations will be learning Word Press and how to master it for Web Pages and Blogs.  This will be an ongoing demonstration of what I learn using Word Press and its individual Widgets.

My title, Not Just Nonsense, is just that, I started this to learn what I can about how Word Press works and how I can better use Word Press for a better customer relationships.  It will assist me in my learning and improving my knowledge of how Word press will and help me express myself to others on my learning process for myself but it will show people my progress as I get more knowledgeable with Word Press.

This whole process for me started out as an experiment.  I started working with Web sites to help promote my original job union.  We do several things for the good of the city and I wanted a platform in which I could send a message to the people but also keep my people informed on present issues etc.

After approximately 3 – 4 years of part-time attendance at St. Clair County Community College to learn how to do web sites better.  I am coming to the end of that degree program.  As I do, I am currently in an internship, and I am leaning how to put everything I have learned into the big picture when it comes to design and development of Web Sites in general.

One thing I have learned in my brief stint as a amateur web developer.  This field is ever changing, just when I think I have learned one concept, I find that many more concepts have come into focus and that I have many more challenges before me.

In my spare time which is not much, I do play a little bit of hockey or golf depending what time of the year it is.  I am also in training for a 1/2 Marathon that my wife and I are planning on doing come mid 2014.
